We needed to replace the wrought iron fencing atop our retaining wall after 25 years.  Oscar arrived at the appointed time and completed his estimate in short order.  Of the three quotes we requested, He was the only one that was willing to replace the fencing matching the existing.  The crew always arrived when scheduled, the site was orderly and picked up at the end of each day and the work was done to specification.

Great experience, at a fair price.  Highly recommended.

Great to do business with people who care and install things the way they'd do for themselves. You don't see much of that anymore.

Very small job; a hand rail for support from my house down to my patio. I didn't have it put in for glamour but rather safety and that's just what l got. An attractive and useful hand rail that doesn't look like a plain ole' bathroom disability rail.

Marcial was the one who came out and estimated; we confirmed a satisfactory price and design. They came out today for the install, and Marcial was here for a few minutes before he left the project in the capable and very friendly hands of Santos. The total job took them less than 2 hours start to finish...and l was told they'd be here at 1:00...not "around" 1, but AT 1...and at 1:00 sharp, they knocked on my door ready to get to work.

I am the President of our Condo Association.  We needed to have a fairly intricate security fencing system created and installed.  Oscar Benitez came to our place several times to go over the design and measure a second time to make sure everything was correct.

The fencing was installed this week and it looks fantastic.  It turned out precisely as I envisioned it.  Oscar's two workers who actually did the installation were prompt, precise, helpful and intelligent.  

We could NOT have asked for a better job.  The price was absolutely fair.  

Do not hesitate to use Oscar and his company.  He is a true gentleman and a pleasure to work with.  I only wish all tradespeople were as good as Oscar and Benitez Wrought Iron, Inc.

Oscar and his team are the BEST!!!! From start to finish it was a great experience. What a nice, kind gentleman who you can trust 100%, whether it is just returning your phone call or having his team working on your property or in your house. The job he did and his craftsmanship fabricating the stair rails along with the installation and all the work he and his team did was excellent and exactly as we planned. It was perfectly measured and installed (just as we discussed, Oscar made five, black wrought Iron hand rails, that were for several of the outdoor stairs in my backyard) and from beginning to end it was beyond professional. The Stair rails were also anchored perfectly. They look great and function great. I called many companies in LA and narrowed it down and then had only two come out and look over the job site, measure it out and get me a quote and time frame. I'll save you a lot of time, energy, worry and money by telling you to just hire Oscar Benitez and his team, You will not be sorry if you are lucky enough if Oscar is available and you get the opportunity to work with him and his team.

All the stair handrails look so good in my backyard and he did such a spectacular job that I'm going to use Oscar again to fabricate and install an entire new, black, wrought iron pool fence (about 65ft across) along with a new pool gate as my current one is getting old and I finally found the perfect guy for the job. It's a family business and he is a busy guy, but trust me it is worth the wait.

Benitez Wrought Iron did an awesome job on my wrought iron fencing. I had a little trouble getting them to do my quote, but once Oscar came to my residence, and provided a quote things went quickly from there. I did make a few changes to my initial request and the incorporated into the design and held the price neutral. It was a fairly significant amount of work (2-gates, 70 Ft of fencing), and they fabricated and installed in a little over two weeks which was several days faster than expected. The crew was clean, courteous, and left the job site clean when they left. I would recommend them to friends, family, and plan to use them for some additional work.

I had Oscar come and install iron hand railings along two sets of steps.  Oscar came when scheduled and installed the railings in two hours.  Oscar was great to work with - professional, on time and did a great job.  Very pleased with how the railings look.

Oscar came out and gave an estimate that was 30% below other estimate for a more attractive design. He said it would be installed on 4/8 and was at the site that morning. The two man crew that did the installation were very friendly and professional. The job took about three hours and they did just what I asked. It is very solid and looks great. I would highly recommend this company.

called them Friday afternoon about the job.  They said they could come by that night to assess the job.  They were punctual and to my surprise, offered to come the next morning even though they were closed on Saturdays.  Even though it was just the one gate that had been damaged by the wind, they offered to add a third hinge to both gates and replace damaged hinges.  They were right on time the following morning.  The job was done fast, precise, and clean.  They did a great job and I would definitely use them again! 

  We had set an appointment to meet at a location to put in hand railings at 10 am.  While we were waiting at the location, the person doing the estimate called at 10 am and told us he wouldn't be there!  While we understand unforeseen circumstances may force an appointment to be changed, waiting until the time of the appointment to cancel was not acceptable.  (Especially since we had to arrange to meet there.)

We agreed to reschedule and got an estimate.  We called a few days later and left a voicemail message to go ahead with the job.  We never got a call back at either of the two phone numbers we left.

Small job on our iron pool fence (latch would not latch). Service man came out, evaluated, and offered to fix problem immediately. Another company came out for quote, and they were very nice. But they came, left, and gave me quote to set up repair another day. This company just did repair on the spot ( and for a lower price than quoted elsewhere). That saved me time and money (and more money, since money = time). 

We went with his proposal for brownish railing. It was supposed to be baked on so it would not peel. He can with a black railing and was going to paint it. This is not what we wanted. It was bait and switch. Very poor. He told u8s painting was in the contract. We should him the contract and there was no such thing mentioned. 

They gave a very fair price. Turned up on time. Did great work and stuck to their estimate. We were 
very happy with their work and price.

This review is one year overdue !! Oscar did a fantastic job in building us a custom decorative iron gate in Sept 2011. And after a year, the high quality work is STILL very apparent. Fist of all, Oscar was very professional and helpful throughout the entire process. We came up with a prelim design and he refined it further. The work was fairly priced and he used quality materials. For example, I wanted a gate that would not sag, wobble, rattle, or go out of alignment. Oscar used a heavy 2" x 2" vertical post and sank it into concrete about 18" deep. Quite honestly, I think this gate will last as long as this house is still standing ! Workmanship was very good and the finish was well done. We built a pool in the backyard at the same time, so the gate had to comply with Los Angeles building codes. A nit-picky city inspector found fault with the gate, which, in my opinion, was unfounded. But I was in no position to argue with a building inspector, so we just had to suck it up and modify the gate. We came up with a solution. It did cost extra $$, but the fix needed two separate trips by Oscar's installation crew and additional materials. We came up with a fair price for the modifications. After a year, still very happy with what Oscar built for us. I highly recommend him if you want quality work. We need to keep good people in business .

Oscar IS the best and most professional contractor I've used! Due to mobility issues I required installation of handrails at each entry/exit from our house. We understandably required banisters that would be strong (used for real support!). Oscar, by use of his tablet computer, was able to show us alternative handrails that would be both cosmetically pleasing and sufficiently strong for the job. And the rails installed looked exactly as expected. I would happily recommend him and his company. If I require additional wrought iron work, Benitez Wrought Iron Inc would be on the top of the list!

We have a wood gate blocking off our side yard that is falling apart and our dog is chewing through it. We thought that wrought Iron would be more decorative and stronger. So we decided to have Oscar replace it. He did just that. It was about 10 feet wide and 6 feet tall. Half is fixed and half is a swinging door. We also added scroll work and a solid bottom which added to the price. I wish every service experience could be like this one. Oscar came out to meet me and see what kind of gate I needed. He was totally punctual and friendly. He listened to what I needed and made suggestions. Then he sent me a sketch through email and quoted me a price. When we agreed he came by with a contract and I gave him a deposit. He was easy to contact over email and about 2 weeks later (which is what it said in the contract) his 2 employees installed our beautiful new gate. I could see that they are real craftsmen because the gate is really nice. They told us how to maintain it and answered any questions we had. The whole process was so easy and we love the gate. added a wrought iron fence around our front yard with a brick base, the work was done on time and cleaned every day after they finished for the day. We added the fence to keep our small dog in and I wanted a gap that was < 3.5 inches and this was accomplished. I called Oscar at Benitez Wrought Iron after hours. He returned my call the next day and arranged to give me an estimate on fixing our gate. He was punctual and professional and gave me an estimate. When I decided to go with his company, I called and reached him immediately. He arranged to come out and write out a work order for the job. Again he was punctual, friendly, and professional. He gave me a lower price than his original quote because we decided on a slightly smaller job. I asked that his crew come the next afternoon at 1:30 pm because I was going to be busy with something that I didn't want to interrupt in the morning. My only complaint is that his crew arrived at noon, which interrupted my morning activity. The crew quickly said that they would go to lunch and come back at 1:30 as agreed, which they did. They worked quickly, asked me my preferences on a couple of things, hung the gate beautifully, suggested and did 3 extra items to make the gate even nicer, and charged me the agreed-to price. What a pleasure to receive such a competent and quality job by friendly and professional people.

My wrought iron garden gate was broken. I called for an estimate to repair and Oscar came out that day. He was on time, looked at the problem and explained how he could fix the gate. While he was there he gave me a detailed written quote for the work. I scheduled the work for 3/2 and his crew arrived on time. Oscar, the owner, came out to do an estimate very quickly. He gave suggestions as to what he thought would look and work the best. I explained that I wanted my dogs to be able to play in the front yard, so he suggested adding extra pickets so the dogs couldn't sneak out. He then explained about all the different add-ons that would make the fence match the look of my house. When the estimate came, it included a computerized drawing of what we'd talked about, which was very helpful in making our decision. Our project was delayed by the rain delaying my gardeners removing obstacles to the fence. Oscar was not troubled by that at all, and was confident the project would still be finished in time (which it was). The workers all showed up as scheduled and were courteous and hard-working. Oscar was there to supervise at least 50% of the time, if not more. I was really impressed with that. The fencing was up in two days, with one more day to do the last gate and touch up paint. The overall look was better than I could have planned on my own and I am thrilled with the result. Their professionalism was outstanding, and I'm grateful for Angie's List for recommending them.

Called Benitez Wrought Iron to estimate my job. Oscar came by on the time agreed and looked at the job. Once he understood what needed to be done, he gave me a written quote. I approved the job and gave Oscar a deposit. He said the job would be completed a week later on the following Wednesday. He later called me and said the job would be completed earlier on Monday. When Oscar and his crew showed up they completed the work in about one hour. I was very impressed with the work. The steel plates and grate were well primed and painted. They also used a colored pigment concrete to match the existing driveway. Most contractors would have just used a "battleship gray" concrete that would not have matched. The completed work looks professional, and I would hire Benitez Wrought Iron back for more projects in the future.
